Experience

Therapy isn’t easy, and sometimes it can feel like you’re doing everything you can but still ending up in the same place. If that’s where you are, you’re not alone. My hope is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. A space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported.

For me, it is a privilege to be trusted with people’s stories. Together, we’ll get curious about what’s been keeping you stuck, explore patterns you feel no longer serve you, and work toward creating meaningful, lasting change. Through a genuine and trusting therapeutic relationship, I hope to help you reconnect with your strengths, embrace your resilience, and navigate life’s challenges with a little more self compassion.

My approach is warm and collaborative, while also grounding what ever challenge in reality. I draw from attachment theory, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and trauma informed practice, but I don’t believe therapy should be one size fits all. Every person is different, and together we’ll find an approach that feels right for you. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable while gently challenging you toward the goals that matter most to you.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, youth, adults, and older adults through experiences such as trauma, PTSD, substance use, anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, relationship challenges, and the impacts of systemic barriers. I’ve worked in residential treatment centres, correctional facilities, community mental health programs, and non-profit organizations with individuals and families ranging in age from 5 to 80.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years in youth mentorship, literacy programming, and community development, designing and leading programs that supported marginalized communities, including Black, Indigenous, and racialized communities, as well as LGBTQIA2S+ youth. Those experiences continue to shape how I show up in the therapy room. They remind me that every person has a unique story, and that healing looks different for everyone. My goal is to create a space where you feel respected, valued, and comfortable being your authentic self.

Education and Professional Development

I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto with a concentration in mental health and a specialization in addictions. I also hold a Diploma in Criminology, a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care with a specialization in Child Protection, and an Addictions Certificate from Vancouver Island University.

Alongside my formal education, I’ve continued to deepen my practice through additional training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Emotion Focused Therapy for individuals and couples (EFT), Self Management and Recovery Training (SMART Recovery), and Shadow Work, allowing me to continue growing alongside the people I have the privilege of working with.
